As PPCT looks toward its growing and bright future, serving new generations of central South Dakota residents, we have developed a long-term funding mechanism that will be important in helping the theatre company fulfill its public service mission. Through a generous contribution from the family and friends of long time actress and board member Pauline Sherer the endowment fund was established with the Oahe Foundation at BankWest. The foundation generates reliable income to it's investors and to PPCT's endowment which will do well to support the company’s programs. Funds contributed to this endowment are managed by Pierre Players Board of Trustees; once the fund level reaches twenty-five thousand dollars the Trustees may begin to disburse funds to PPCT with only the investment income used each year to support the theatre company’s ongoing operations. In this way, the fund will provide a steady, stable and growing revenue stream that will enable the company to serve the community for decades to come.
In addition to purchasing tickets to events held at the Grand Opera House and making an annual membership contribution, we encourage you to make a tax-deductible contribution to the Pierre Players Endowment Fund. Donating to the Endowment is a way to honor the memory of people committed to community theater, people currently involved, or to simply support the future of community theater in the area.
To contribute please contact PPCT or any BankWest location in care of Pierre Players Endowment.
