Pierre Players Lighting Workshop: June 10

Lights and sound are two of the many important aspects to a Pierre Players' production. The subtle transition in lighting can change the mood of the moment. The right sounds can transport our audience into the setting of the story on the stage before them. Pierre Players will hold a lighting workshop on Saturday, June 10, 2017, 9 a.m. to noon. Become acquainted with our light board under the guidance of our new volunteer and veteran lighting designer, Steve Mezger. Connect with new and regular volunteers in local community theater. Learn the magic that happens behind the scenes of productions. This workshop is available to all ages and levels of experience at no cost. We just ask that you RSVP to info@pierreplayers.com so we can plan accordingly.

Little Players Children's Theater Camp: June 19-24

Would you like to act in a real live play? Build the set? Lean all the behind-the-scenes tricks to creating a live performance? Little Players (a part of Pierre Players) will hold its children's theater camp for children going into the third through fifth grades on June 19-24, 2017, at 3-5 p.m. Based on the book "The Day the Crayons Quit" by Drew Daywalt, the camp will include four days of games and activities based on theater skills. Participants will tie-die shirts, build a giant crayon box, write their own letters/scripts, create a mural based on their letters/scripts and prepare to present their letters to an audience. Participants will then perform on Saturday, June 24, 10 a.m. at the Steamboat Park Amphitheater during Oahe Days. The workshop cost is free, but space is limited. The deadline to apply is May 31. Apply for the workshop. For more information, contact info@littleplayers605.com.
